I am drawn to the physicality of making a painting and the tactile engagement of materials. I am interested in the language of color and how it both holds and generates emotion. I work from a personal narrative that leans into themes of the natural world; strangeness, beauty, and realization.
When there is emotional honesty in a work of art I am energized.
